Lucia lives in an alternative rural community in Uruguay. She trained in permaculture in ecovillages and traveled through several countries, learning about sustainable living, and deepening her experience in working with groups and decision-making. She trained as a professional facilitator at the International Institute for Facilitation and Change, founded the institute in Uruguay, and has worked for 10 years as a facilitator, trainer and consultant in participatory processes. She also studied process-oriented psychology (Process Work Institute) as a tool for facilitating conflict. She is qualified as a trainer for Gaia Education.
Lucia has contributed for many years to building networks of ecovillages, working for the Ecovillage Network of the Americas and the Global Ecovillage Network. She is currently working with the formation of the Council of Sustainable Settlements of the Americas (CASA). Lucia has a commitment to earth healing, holding through art, spirituality and deep ecology.
