Konohana Family is an agriculture-based community at the foot of Mt. Fuji where 85 non blood-related members live as one big family.
In 1994, 20 members found Konohana Farm, which then was renamed to Konohana Family. They aimed to establish a community where people can live together by supporting each other in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, Japan.
We first started as a spiritual group(Suseonjae). Founded in 1998, we have been doing the breathing practice. Through meditation for a couple of years, we got connected to various beings such as plants, animals, the great nature and even mother earth. The messages from them were all the same. – Humans are also part of nature and our original role was to become guidance of earth. They sadly said they almost lost hope from humans and they are losing faith and love they used to have for humans.
In 2001, some volunteers gathered in Suzuka, Japan, aiming to realize a happy society free from fighting and opposition, in harmony with nature. A border-less community named “AS-ONE COMMUNITY” has been created in an ordinary neighborhood of Suzuka, a typical middle-size city and also well known as a city of the Honda company.
Hua Tao ecovillage is in Chongzhou, Chengdu, the land of abundance. And there are several interesting places around us, such as Anren ancient town, Confucius International School and a agricultural base. In the ecovillage, living area with green buildings is about 9 acres, and it is surrounded by 40 acres of farmland. The density of buildings here is 39.6%, and the green coverage is 45.9%.

Our community is specialized in three things: teaching people on city farming, communion with the Earth and meditation, help people to build eco-village.
There are about 200 members live in the Seonae-ville. We have six Seonae villes throught Korea and they are all connected to one another.
We have another 200 members outside who live in cities teaching city farming and give lectures on sustainable life.
Naterra is a non-profit association, started and run by a group of 5 young Portugueses based in Macau and East-Timor. NaTerra embraces projects in the field of education for sustainable development, a multidisciplinary organization that combines holistic education and Permaculture Design, creating and share alternative solutions, engaging directly with the local communities to work towards a sustainable development.
As One community started around 14 years ago.
As One community activities are based on the studies of human and societies,
especially essential social systems for implementation to create sustainable communities.
At first, studies started in 2000 and then the Scienz Institute, a Non-Government-Organization, was
established in 2004. Their investigations led to the Scienz School which is also an NGO.
And now, every month, we have seven courses for the public from beginner level
to advanced level in the Scienz School in Suzuka, Japan.
Qingema ecovillage is located in northwestern Xinjiang Province, a wide and barren area in the Gobi Desert. It has saline-alkali soil everywhere, with long and hot days but a large temperature difference between day and night. The crops we grow here are quite rich, with “hami melon” and “korla fragrant pear” being two of the most popular.
Located on UNESCO world heritage Jeju Island, South Korea the Irang Ecovillage project is a community based on the principals of permaculture. It is an example of how sustainable agriculture, and smart design go hand in hand with social, and ecological well being.
The purpose of Irang Ecovillage is to create a model of sustainable living in South Korea, that combines smart design with social, and ecological well being.
We are a community located in China looking for permacuture or natural farming experts to help us restore saline-alkaline land for one of our properties in the westernmost of China, and transform it to a beautiful and fertile farm that are able to provide its residents with abundant organic foods. It would be also good if this farm can be developed ecologically into a favorable habitat for plants and animals.
